Hi, I am Teresa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker seeing clients in Illinois and North Carolina. I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee NC. I have been practicing Social Work for several decades and I am currently working with college aged students with career counseling, life transitions, coping skills, self esteem. I have extensive experience with older adults, life transitions, end of life, death and dying, chronic illness, grief and loss.
In our first session, I would want to get to know a little about you, what brings you to therapy, what your goals are and challenges you are having. The goal would be to work together towards a plan for your goals.
I have been told I am very easy to talk to. I am empathetic and have genuine care and concern for my clients. I focus on client driven goals.
I love working with both college aged students and older individuals.
