Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 18 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, individuals 65+ and caregivers. I have experience working with clients from all walks of life who need support managing feelings of Depression, Anxiety, Shame, Guilt, Grief, Caregiver Burnout, Life Transitions and more. For the past 8 years my work includes supporting caregivers caring for loved ones with Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, ALS, MS, PTSD, SCI, Chronic Pain Issues, Cancer, Children with Disabilities and more.
In our first session together we'll start with introductions and I'll ask questions about your life, current challenges, and goals for therapy. We'll discuss your expectations and this session will allow you to evaluate if you feel comfortable with me and my approach. This is a great opportujity for you to ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process or my approach. This initial visit is a period for us to get to know each other.
I have experience working with individuals from all walks of life and understand that what works for one individual may not work for another. I partner together with individuals, making adjustments to my therapeutic interventions based on individual needs and preferences. I have a passion for partnering together with others and believe in individuals ability to make positive changes, without judgement.
Are you feeling anxious, depressed, uneasy, lonely? Maybe your sleep-deprived, feeling guilty and unsure of how to best support yourself or your loved ones? If so, you are not alone! Let's partner together so you can begin feeling more supported and confident to manage life's transitions and challenges. I have over 18 years of experience working with clients who need help navigating life's challenges. I utilize an integrated therapeutic approach to tailor treatment to your needs. With a focus on your strengths, I use theoretical approaches including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a short term, evidence-based therapeutic approach that is future-oriented and goal-focused, emphasizing what individuals can do and their strengths. Sessions typically last 6-10 weeks or longer if needed. I partner together with individuals to establish realistic, meaningful steps and time frames for goals, focusing on individuals strengths and resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based, therapeutic approach that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to mental health problems. I partner with individuals to explore thoughts, behaviors, problem areas and develop solutions, using a strength based approach.
Motivational interviewing is a short-term, collaborative counseling method that helps people find internal motivation to change their behavior. I work collaboratively with individuals to help them explore their own values and goals.
