My approach focuses on helping clients develop self-understanding and learn techniques for coping with daily challenges. I believe education is a form of empowerment, so I frequently infuse opportunities for clients to learn about psychological concepts that can help them understand their own experience. I also incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion techniques, which help clients become more present and less harsh on themselves.
Our first session is an opportunity for me to learn about what you've been struggling with and what you'd like to focus on. It's also a chance for me to begin gathering your history.
Overall, my style of counseling can be described as supportive, empowering, and insightful. I genuinely love my job, and I’m grateful for each opportunity to cross paths with, and support, a fellow human being.
I work best with young adults that are motivated to heal and grow.
IFS helps clients to understand and integrate the different parts of their personality.
