Hi! I'm Dr. Angie Pelletier-Juarez but I'm cool so you can call me Dr. PJ! I am a clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in mental health. I apply a comprehensive approach that considers your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects. My ultimate goal is to help you gain a better understanding of yourself. We'll work together to identify your personal strengths and cultivate coping strategies, so you can navigate life's challenges more easily while seeking balance and tranquility.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, clients can expect that I will not push them to share their thoughts or emotions. Instead, I will meet them where they are and encourage them to open up at their own pace in a natural and comfortable flow. My approach is compassionate and non-judgmental, and I strive to create a safe space for clients to feel heard and understood.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My therapeutic approach is built upon a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates a range of other evidence-based modalities, including Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Person-Centered approaches. Additionally, I am sensitive to the various social and cultural factors that impact recovery and overall well-being, and use a multicultural lens to ensure that my practice is inclusive and reflective of my clients' diverse experiences.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in treating individuals (children, teens, adults) from diverse backgrounds who struggle with mental health issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, domestic or interpersonal violence, phase of life issues (career, relationship issues, transitional periods), and anger and stress management. *While am well-versed and knowledgeable about legal matters related to mental health, I do not offer letter-writing or court testimony services for my clients. My focus remains on providing compassionate care and personalized treatment to support their well-being.
