About me

**I am currently unable to accept any individuals in need of evening appointments (4pm or later).** Welcome to Wholehearted Counseling & Consulting! My name is Paula and I ama Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, providing counseling to individuals 15 and up, with a specialized focus on young adult population and Christian/Biblical counseling. My work in the behavioral health field began in 2009 and spans across various settings and levels of care. I offer telehealth and in person visits (office is located in Springfield, PA). I love to see client's achieve their goals, while also maintaining a realistic frame of mind in how goals will be achieved.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our initial visit will include reviewing necessary documents and completing an initial assessment. If possible, I also like to spend some time getting to know what has worked in the past, what has not, and what goals you may have in mind. Building rapport and establishing a trusting, safe space for you to feel welcomed and able to share openly is of utmost importance to me, so that you may reap the highest benefits of the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a wealth of experience in the field, having worked with multiple age groups, various issues, and a variety of settings. I love to help those I work with by suppling resource referrals when needed (i.e.-career or life coaching, connection to community resources that may help to alleviate stressors). I am also an active listener, while also aiming to help you grow and encourage deeper understanding of self through challenging faulty thinking and encouraging growth through stepping outside of comfort zone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

It is natural to hit points in life where we begin to question the path we are on or who we are becoming. My goal is to help each individual that enters into a counseling relationship with me the opportunity to explore and discover who and what they are called to be in this chaotic world. I aim to provide a place of peace and safety for you to talk through and learn strategies to manage the ebb and flow of life. It would be my pleasure and honor to help you navigate through the storms of life, to find and embrace the joy in everyday life, and live wholeheartedly. I am also a firm believer that your diagnosis does not define who you are. So often we get caught up on labels, whether they are self-assigned or given to us by others, and lose ourselves in those labels. I am here to help those who feel stuck in negative thought cycles and false beliefs, discover a new way of thinking and improve quality of life.
