As an LCSW specializing in EMDR, DBT, CBT, and addiction treatment, I work with individuals to help them heal from past trauma, manage difficult emotions, and break free from unhealthy patterns. I offer evidence-based therapies like EMDR to process trauma and DBT and CBT to build coping skills and promote emotional regulation. My goal is to support you in making lasting changes, improving relationships, and achieving a healthier, more fulfilling life

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, clients can expect a safe, supportive environment where we’ll begin by discussing their current concerns, background, and goals for therapy. I’ll take time to understand their specific needs, explain the different therapeutic approaches I use—like EMDR, DBT, and CBT—and how these can help address their challenges. We’ll also discuss any relevant history, especially around trauma or addiction, and establish a plan for moving forward. The goal is to build a trusting relationship, ensure you feel comfortable, and lay the foundation for the work we'll do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to tailor therapy to meet each client's unique needs, providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and understood. I bring a deep understanding of trauma and addiction, and I integrate evidence-based therapies—such as EMDR, DBT, and CBT—to create personalized treatment plans that address both the root causes of challenges and the day-to-day skills needed for healing. I am committed to collaborating with clients, helping them build resilience, navigate difficult emotions, and achieve meaningful change in their lives. My focus is always on meeting clients where they are and supporting them in their journey toward recovery and growth

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) can be used to help clients develop skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. It's especially effective for clients with emotional dysregulation, self-destructive behaviors, or difficulties in relationships, helping them navigate intense emotions and develop healthier coping strategies.

EMDR

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process and heal from traumatic memories or distressing life experiences. By using bilateral stimulation (like guided eye movements), EMDR helps clients reprocess these memories, reducing emotional charge and integrating them more adaptively into their overall narrative.

Drusilla was very friendly and understanding. She was able to help me understand more about myself and make connections between some of my problems. I felt very comfortable sharing with her and supported.
