I have over 25 years of experience working with client in a variety of settings that include inpatient and outpatient mental health services. I've also worked with adolescents, teenagers, and adults on issues that range from anxiety to thoughts of self-harm (non-suicidal). I have also worked with individuals with a variety of different SES backgrounds ethnicities. I am trained in Marriage and Family Therapy and currently Licensed as a Professional Counselor.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Client can expect to engage in initial interview that allows me to hear from the client in their own words about the presenting problem or "what brought them to therapy."

I believe that my greatest strength is my ability to listen and have empathy for my client. I have over twenty-five years of experience in the field of mental health discussing a variety of issues that impact the lives of my client and their families.

I believe that I am in a position of serve those who struggle with anxiety or some form of depression, who may be having difficulty with their daily functioning. Client may also be having vague thoughts of self-harm or other intrusive thoughts that interfere with their ability to focus or concentrate.

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by focusing on the relationships between unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviors; identifying current problems and symptoms; and focusing on changing patterns of behaviors, thoughts and feelings that lead to maladaptive behaviors and functioning.
