I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina. I was awarded my master's degree from Walden University. I work with individuals with various mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and many more. I also help new moms with the "mom guilt" and struggles that come from transitioning into being a parent. I utilize multiple evidence-based practices to support my clients and help them to reach their mental health goals.
In our first session I will set aside time to get to know you as a whole person. We will work together to identify your current goals and develop individualized methods to overcome these and future challenges. I will answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process and provide information about my experience and modalities I offer that will suit your situation. During the first session I want to get to know you as a person, your experiences and life events that influence who you are.
My greatest strength as a provider is my understanding of the breadth of human experience and an open mindedness leading to acceptance. I am able to relate to many individuals because of my own experiences in life. I utilize holistic care along with personal experience to create an authentic therapeutic relationship.
I love to work with individuals from teenage to adult. I truly enjoy connecting to people as an individual and helping them on their mental health journey. Most of my experience is with teenagers 15 plus and young adults. If your goal is to work on your mental health reach out and we can make a plan together.
I use CBT to challenge negative thoughts and thinking patterns. CBT therapy helps increase the awareness of how our thoughts, behaviors and feelings are all related and affect mental health.
I use mindfulness to help increase awareness of body, feelings and environment influence. Mindfulness assists with finding balance and reduce anxiety and depression.
I feel strength-based therapy plays a role in every type of treatment modality. Strength-based therapy helps with confidence, anxiety, and many other mental health struggles.
