I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of professional work experience. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a Concentration in Family and Child Services from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Social Work from Capella University. I hold the Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider and Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner credentials from the Center for Credentialing and Education. I am a certified specialist in anger management and grief/loss.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns of/relating to anger/aggression, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, thus, each session is tailored to fit your strengths, needs, abilities, and/or preferences.
I have experience working with children and their parents or guardians in inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, providing individual, group, and/or family counseling, clinical-community linkage, and crisis intervention. I love working with clients of ages, especially those who are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on modifying dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
