About me

Do you struggle with anxiety, OCD or chronic stress? Are you frustrated by approaches that aren't helpful? My approach is neurodivergent affirming and evidence based. I help kids, teens, and adults break free from cycles of anxiety, perfectionism, overwhelm, and overthinking. Are you ready to feel less stuck? I can help. Hi, I’m Laurie Endris and I am a neurodivergent therapist who specializes in working with people of all ages (6+) who struggle with anxiety, OCD and related challenges. I also provide support to parents of neurodivergent kids navigating challenges related to sensory, emotional, communication, and learning differences, while encouraging special interests and positive identity development.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I would like to get to know you and what is bothering you most. Come prepared to talk about what you are hoping to get out of therapy, as well as your interests, values and preferences.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and affirming. I integrate evidence-based practices like ACT, CBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), with mindfulness, expressive arts, and somatic/sensory awareness. I work from a strengths-based perspective centering your preferences, values, and goals. Whether you’re seeking freedom from looping thoughts, looking to parent with greater intention and understanding, or ready to unmask and reclaim your true self—I’ll meet you right where you are.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love providing neurodivergent affirming therapy to people struggling with anxiety or OCD or parents of anxious or differently wired children. I also work well with artists/creatives, LGBTQIA+ clients, late-diagnosed autistic/ADHD adults, people with chronic illness, and those exploring meaning, authenticity, and belonging. If you’ve been feeling stuck or misaligned, I’d be honored to work with you!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a transdiagnositc theory that underpins much of my work with clients. ACT is empowering and affirming. I like it because it is grounded in accepting things we cannot change and taking value based action focused on what is most important to you.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

If you struggle with obsessions, compulsions, or phobias, exposure therapy can help you take your life back! I will partner with you to create exposures that will help you overcome your fears by meeting you where you are and making sure you feel safe and in control. I will never pressure you to do an exposure you do not feel ready for or minimize your experience.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

You are the expert on you. You set the goals and the pace and I will work with you to create the changes that will help you live the life you want to live.

Strength-Based

I am neurodivergent affirming. You are a whole person and I encourage you to bring your whole self to therapy! You are not your challenges or diagnosis. Your gifts, talents, preferences and special interests, are just as important to your treatment as the places where you are struggling and often hold the key to unlocking the life you want to live.

Mind-body approach

Have you heard of bottom up and top down processing? Talk therapy (top down) for your mind - can be incredibly helpful, but often it falls short. I work integrate your body's wisdom, movement, memories, preferences and sensations into sessions to give you more connection, freedom, authenticity and autonomy in your physical experiences. I use a variety of tools including guided meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, yoga, play and expressive arts to leverage bottom up processing for an integrated whole person approach.
