I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospice and community mental health. I have successfully worked with clients and families with a variety of mental health issues, as well as those on the Autism spectrum and their families. I use a holistic approach to providing therapy to my clients and helping them to achieve their goals. I utilize a wide array of therapeutic techniques and am a Level II Certified EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) practitioner. I greatly enjoy my work with active military, veterans and their families and consider it an honor to do so. I am currently on most major insurance panels, including Medicare. I received my Masters degree from Florida International University and have been practicing for over 5 years. I have experience working children, adolescents, and adults. I received my Masters in Social Work, Planning, and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University have over 20 years of experience in the field of social work, advocating and serving people with disabilities in their community. I have extensive experience working with children and adults assisting them in both English and Spanish. I received my undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Mary Washington and also work as an accomplished artist. My love for art and social work is the focus of my practice. I work in the expressive arts and EMDR and am working towards certification in both. I believe in the healing power of art and its use in mental health recovery.
