A secret word or a snap of the fingers does not solve our issues. Therapy is two people talking about life’s difficulties, learning coping mechanisms to manage our reactions to those difficulties so their impact is reduced in the present, and utilizing those coping skills in the future to prevent our previous, undesired, reactions from returning. I received my Masters from the Bellevue University and received a certificate in advanced graduate studies from Salve Regina University in Holistic Counseling and have been practicing for 16 years.
