Greetings, My name is Louise, I am located in Virginia, and I hope this message finds you well. I am married, the mother of one grown child, and the grandmother of one. I want to introduce myself as someone who is passionate about helping others overcome life's challenges. If you've experienced childhood trauma, the loss of a loved one, or are struggling with work/life balance, I would be honored to collaborate with you. Using evidenced-based tools, we can explore your biopsychosocial and spiritual world to find your resources and areas to strengthen. My goal is to help you feel more at peace and understand why you react to certain situations the way you do. During our time together, I will provide a safe, empathetic, and objective environment for you to explore these areas of your life. With a background in teaching, biochemistry, and mental health treatment, as well as personal life experiences, I am here to help you discuss areas that are stressing you and utilize tools that will grow your toolbox. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you. Take care!

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a welcoming reception and empathy with their first session as the intake paperwork is collaborated on together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My niche is working with women's issues across the lifespan, which includes childhood trauma and abuse, attachment challenges, loss of a parent, divorce, high-risk pregnancies, miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, family dynamics, anxiety, and depression. My biggest strengths are the compassion and empathy that I bring to the sessions. Through my life and educational experiences, I have learned a lot to be able to assist clients and their challenges. I have a certification in grief counseling, am polyvagal theory-informed, and have helped individuals feel safe in working through traumas. Exploring your childhood attachment style, as well as generational cycles can lead to "aha" moments in sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have worked with ACT since I started as a therapist. It can be used with various challenges to go from feeling stuck in the past to be more present oriented.

Attachment-based

This is one of my favorite treatment methods because it talks about how you experienced attachment as a child and how it affects your attachments as adults.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is a great tool for behavior modification and understanding what triggers you and why.

Christian Counseling

Your spirituality can be a great strength in helping with symptom management.

Strength-Based

I like to explore your strengths to see if you have areas to aid in symptom reduction, which you may not realize you have.
