I have been a social worker in the area of education and in clinical therapy for over 30 years. I have years of experience working with individuals with learning handicaps, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, and codependency. I also provide Christian counseling and teen counseling. I am trustworthy and not judgmental. My main therapeutic style is solution focused. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed conversation where I ask questions to get to know you and understand what brings you in. I focus on building rapport, listening closely, and exploring how you’d like to grow or what you hope will feel different in your life. By the end of the session, we’ll work together to begin identifying clear goals and objectives so you leave with a sense of direction and what our work together will look like.

What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is my solution-focused style, which helps clients move forward with clarity and momentum toward their goals. I especially enjoy working with individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, grown up around substance use, or who are navigating ADHD or learning challenges. After more than 30 years working in both public schools and clinical settings, I’ve come to appreciate how uniquely each person’s story unfolds—and how important it is to meet clients exactly where they are. I also provide gentle, practical homework—like short videos or worksheets—to help support you between sessions, if that feels helpful. Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I tend to be a strength based, solution oriented practitioner. It is important to me that the client feels heard and respected, and that we are building on their strengths together.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I tend to use a Cognitive Behavioral approach when helping a client to decrease anxiety and depression by looking at what is triggering the condition and what works to resolve it.
Christian Counseling
I offer faith based counseling from a Christian perspective to individuals who are interested in this. I can combine this approach with traditional therapy, resulting in a more holistic approach.
