About me

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Maine, I have had much success in helping patients in overcoming challenges with depression, anxiety, anger, PTSD, self-esteem, social skills and communication to name a few. After seeing many successes with my patients, I have come to fully trust in the therapeutic process as an important and effective tool in helping individuals to overcome mental health challenges and experience tremendous growth in many areas of their lives.

In our first session together, I will give you a brief introduction about the therapy process, learn more about you and any challenges you are experiencing and work closely with you in the development of a plan for your treatment and measurable goals for therapy.

Having worked with many patients over the past several years, my greatest strength as a provider is being able to establish rapport with my patients, create attainable and measurable goals for treatment and help individuals gain insights while assisting them in learning and implementing effective strategies for overcoming whatever challenges they may have.

I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, cultural backgrounds and in various stages of life. My primary focus is assisting individuals and families to overcome any challenges they are facing including mental health, adjustment disorders, family and interpersonal relationships and women's issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT as an intervention to assist clients in identifying, exploring and challenging negative thought patterns that may impact symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger and low self-esteem.

Psychoeducation

I utilize psychoeducation as needed to provide patients with knowledge and information that may be beneficial to them in understanding various aspects of behavior, illness and effective treatments.

Strength-Based

I utilize a strength-based approach with my patients that focuses on their inner strengths, abilities, knowledge and resourcefulness in order to assist them in affecting positive changes within themselves.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize Trauma-Focused CBT as an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma which has proven to be a highly effective treatment in reducing trauma-related symptoms.
