Greetings, My name is Norman Shaffer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Tennessee. I have been practicing as a social worker for over a decade now. I like working with adults who are actively seeking a positive change in their life. I like to partner with clients and guide them towards better outcomes and a healthier balance in life.
Our first session will include information gathering, building rapport, and identifying goals. Plan on prioritizing what you want to focus on during the first few sessions.
As a therapist, I have been successful in guiding clients towards moments of self-discovery. Helping clients remain motivated and focused on self-care is also a passion of mine.
I enjoy working with a diverse population, but I fit best with adults who are wanting to develop and practice the skills they need to achieve the outcomes they desire.
Knowing how our thoughts and beliefs shape our feelings and behaviors is valuable when restructuring negative thought patterns into more positive patterns and/or disputing maladaptive belief systems.
There is always more than one way to reach a desired therapeutic outcome. I like to explore what works for you.
