Relax. This is a space where you don't have to mask, perform, or be 'on.' We focus on what's happening now and build skills that work in daily life—not just talk endlessly. You can expect real conversation, thoughtful questions, clear strategies you can actually use, and gentle but straightforward pushback when it helps you grow. I focus on anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship stress, and life transitions across teens, adults, and older adults. ADHD-CCSP certified. I work with many LGBTQ+ clients. Background: LICSW (DC) and LCSW (FL). MSW from the University of South Florida, 2021. Practicing therapy since 2021.
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know you—your story, your background, and the challenges you're facing. We'll also start exploring your values and goals, what's working and what's not, and begin shaping a plan that's practical, personalized, and helpful in your daily life. Here's how it works: we talk, I listen for patterns, and we figure out what's getting in the way. I'll share resources, book recommendations, and approaches other clients have found useful. I draw on ACT, CBT, and PCT. The letters don't matter — what matters is the relationship.
Clients often describe me as authentic, intelligent, and open-minded. I bring genuine curiosity to our work—not just about your life, but about how your everyday experiences connect to psychology, mindfulness, identity, and culture. Expect real conversation, thoughtful questions, clear strategies you can actually use, and actionable advice to make a difference in your life.
I work best with clients who want to focus on the here and now—practical steps and insights you can actually use—while also making sense of the past when it helps. You're curious, open to trying new strategies, and ready to take action toward feeling more balanced, confident, and capable in your daily life. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware but still feel stuck or frustrated, even when they know what should help. They come in navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, and they want therapy that's down-to-earth, collaborative, and geared toward real-life results. If that sounds like you, we'll probably work really well together.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is the model I lean on most in my work — it shapes how I think about almost every case. The core idea: you don't have to feel ready to do something hard. You can do it while feeling unsure or anxious. A lot of the work is getting better at moving forward with difficult thoughts and feelings, instead of waiting for them to clear up first
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients notice the thought patterns and habits that keep them stuck — not to argue with the thoughts, but to see them clearly enough that they have less pull. From there we build practical skills for handling the real-world situations where those patterns show up.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
We slow things down enough that you can see what your mind is actually doing — the rehearsing, the rerunning, the bracing for things that haven't happened. Most of it loosens once you notice it clearly. You can't think your way out of every hard feeling, though — sometimes you just have to feel it and let it move through. This part of the work builds that skill.
Motivational Interviewing
Therapists who tell you what to do tend to get ignored, and rightly so. I'd rather help you get clearer on what you actually want — including the parts you're not sure you're allowed to want — than try to talk you into anything.
Trauma Informed Care
I assume most people carry stuff from earlier in their life that still affects how they feel and behave now. We move at your pace, and you decide what we open up and when.

I appreciated the transparency and honesty. Evan was also really easy going and easy to talk to. It made me feel comfortable being open. Evan cited research whenever relevant -- asked questions about topics he didn't know. That made me feel comfortable knowing that Evan is intellectually curious and honest. Did not overpromise. Was able to speak to his strengths and weaknesses. Good session overall.

Evan was curious, professional, open-minded and detail oriented. He also specializes in ADHD which should be helpful.
