About me

Do you find yourself questioning choices you make in life, or how you experience relationships? You are not alone. With 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, I am here to assist you in better understanding of self, and to work to become a happier and healthier you. In building a trusting relationship that's non-judgemental and genuine, I meet you where you are. We will work together to help you gain better insight, and address the emotional and mental difficulties that may be present due to past and current stressors. I work with adolescents and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral issues, ADHD, mood disorders, family conflict, relationship issues, low self-esteem, codependency, and coping issues. I assist in empowering them to gain emotional regulation, healthier cognitive skills and behaviors, and coping strategies to improve their lives. I hope to talk to you soon!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session I will start with brief introductions and rapport building, as we discuss the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create an individualized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have worked with youth and families in multiple settings for almost 20 years, I've been an officer of the court as a juvenile officer, an aftercare caseworker assisting juveniles and families. I've worked as a therapist for children and adolescents in school-based settings, and all ages in under-served areas in outpatient clinics. I've also worked as a therapist for all populations in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I have multicultural awareness and unconditional positive regard for my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work specifically with adolescents and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral issues, ADHD, mood disorders, family conflict, relationship issues, low self-esteem, codependency, and coping issues.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I provide a space for my clients that is non-judgmental and I offer genuine, empathetic, and supportive care, in order to assist them in being open to the therapeutic process. I work with clients to help them recognize and reduce maladaptive thought processes that can lead to negative feelings and unhealthy behaviors. When clients become aware of the thinking patterns that create issues for them, through the use of learned skills they will be able to challenge and reframe them into more helpful thinking and behavior patterns.
