Hi. I’m Daphne, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with more than 12 years of experience supporting clients through complex emotional landscapes and mood-related challenges. I specialize in working with individuals who experience intense emotions, mood instability, trauma-related symptoms, and inner parts that often feel conflicted or overwhelmed. My approach is warm, steady, and deeply attuned offering a space where your full emotional experience is welcomed, explored, and respected. I work primarily with adults and adolescents navigating mood disorders such as depression, bipolar spectrum concerns, emotional dysregulation, trauma-related mood shifts, and identity fragmentation that can make day-to-day life feel unpredictable. If you’re seeking emotional stability, deeper self-understanding, or relief from patterns that feel exhausting or repetitive, I’m here to create a collaborative, grounding environment where you feel truly understood. My therapeutic framework blends emotionally attuned, evidence-based modalities. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you connect with your inner parts with compassion, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build essential skills like distress tolerance and emotional regulation, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. EMDR services will be available soon for clients seeking additional trauma-focused healing options. Clients often share that our work together helps them experience more emotional balance, reconnect with their sense of identity, improve their relationships, and develop greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to honor your lived story while supporting you in building the tools, clarity, and resilience needed for long-term change. I also offer Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters as an optional add-on service for clients whose needs support this recommendation, following a completed intake and at least two additional therapy sessions. Wherever you are on your path, I’m here to walk alongside you as you build a more stable, grounded, and empowered version of you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We’ll start by getting to know each other and creating a comfortable, safe space for you. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a chance for you to ask questions about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and how we’ll work together. We’ll review confidentiality, discuss how sessions typically run, and set some initial goals based on what feels most important to you. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once, we’ll go at your pace. The first session is all about building trust and starting a partnership focused on your well-being. After this session, you’ll have a clearer idea of how therapy can support you and what the next steps might look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my deep, intuitive empathy and my ability to listen in a way that makes you feel genuinely seen, understood, and respected. I create a space where you don’t have to hide, shrink, or censor yourself where your full emotional experience is not only welcomed but valued. I have a natural ability to recognize the strengths you already possess, even when you can’t yet see them yourself, and I help you build upon those strengths in ways that empower you to take steady ownership of your healing journey. As a visionary and expressive artist, I love using imagery, symbolism, language, and gesture to bring emotional experiences to life. These creative elements often help deepen understanding, bridge inner disconnects, and make even the most complex emotional terrain feel more approachable. I welcome and encourage this expressive process in our work together because healing doesn’t have to be rigid, it can be a meaningful, immersive ride. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, blending a variety of evidence-based methods to meet your individual needs. Whether we’re working through trauma, exploring emotional patterns, or building regulation skills, I tailor each strategy to fit who you are and how you move through the world. No matter the technique, my focus is always on helping you create changes that are practical, meaningful, and sustainable. Because of this integrated, client-centered style, many people experience increased emotional balance, deeper self-awareness, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Most importantly, I am committed to walking beside you with patience, compassion, and authenticity. I show up fully so you can too, supporting you every step of the way as you work toward lasting well-being, inner alignment, and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support clients who are deeply self-aware, highly sensitive, and navigating rich inner emotional worlds. Many of the people I serve have been told they feel “too much,” “too intense,” or “too sensitive,” and have reached a point where they’re ready for something different, something deeper. If you often find yourself overwhelmed by emotions, struggling to trust your internal compass, or managing parts of yourself that feel disconnected or misunderstood, you may find that my approach resonates with you. I work especially well with individuals who are high functioning on the outside but internally juggling complex emotions, identity shifts, or trauma-related responses. Whether you’re navigating symptoms aligned with mood/personality or simply feel intensely and want a place where that intensity is honored rather than judged, you will always have space here. My work focuses on helping you strengthen your inner resources, increase your emotional clarity, and develop practical, grounded coping tools while also making room for the deeper healing your system is craving. Clients who thrive in my style are motivated to move beyond surviving; they want to reclaim balance, improve their relationships, and experience life with more stability, self-trust, and confidence. I aim to create a safe, validating environment where your inner experiences are taken seriously and where your pace is respected. Together, we’ll explore your goals whether it’s understanding your emotional patterns, navigating parts of self, building healthier boundaries, or cultivating a greater sense of inner harmony. If you value a collaborative, empowering partnership that honors your story and supports transformation despite past challenges, you will likely find our work together meaningful, grounding, and profoundly impactful.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In our sessions, we’ll explore the different “parts” of you, each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles. You might notice parts that try to protect you, parts that carry pain, and parts that feel stuck. I’ll help you get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. Together, we’ll work toward helping these parts feel heard and supported, so you can feel more balanced and connected to your true self, the calm, wise core that’s always within you.

Strength-Based

I believe you already have many strengths, even if they’re hard to see right now. Together, we’ll explore the skills, values, and resources you’ve used to get through tough times. We’ll build on what’s working and use that as a foundation for moving forward. You are more capable than you may realize, and I’m here to help you tap into that power.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you build skills to manage intense emotions, navigate relationships, and stay grounded during tough moments. I’ll support you in learning practical tools like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills. At the same time, we’ll hold space for both acceptance and change. You can honor where you are while also working toward where you want to be. We’re in this together, and I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In our sessions, I’ll help you learn how to slow down and notice what’s happening in the present moment without judgment. Together, we’ll practice simple techniques like breathing, body awareness, and gentle observation of thoughts and emotions. You don’t have to change everything right away; we’ll focus on building awareness so you can respond to stress and challenges with more clarity and calm. This approach can help you feel more grounded, even when things around you feel overwhelming.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In our work together, we’ll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Sometimes the way we think about things can make challenges feel even heavier. I’ll help you notice unhelpful thought patterns and learn how to shift them in ways that support your goals. Together, we’ll practice strategies you can use in daily life to reduce stress, improve your mood, and feel more in control. You don’t have to do it alone, we’ll take it one step at a time.
