Hello, I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Arizona. I received my Master's in Social Work in 2003 from Grand Valley State University. I have been in Arizona since 2006 working in various areas of social work such as addiction, mental health and staff consultation so that I can be well rounded in the services I will provide.
During the first session we will start out by getting to know one another by doing a brief introduction and offering you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about therapy. Then we will talk about what brings you to therapy so we can develop a plan/goals to move forward.
My strengths are that I value the relationships I build with my clients. I think it is very important that I make you feel as comfortable as possible to do the work ahead. I enjoy helping my clients identify their strengths and making them feel worthy of a better quality of life.
I love working with people who are looking for answers to improve their mental health. The clients I work with are open to try new approaches to their life dilemmas and change behavior that has been holding them back.
I like to discuss significant relationships. childhood and current increased symptoms/emotions to identify past coping skills and discover how they may currently be impacting your growth. We will look at childhood trauma and discuss ways that you may still need to emotional grow to help cope with issues that you are facing today. I really like to develop a healthy rapport of support so that we together can reach the goals set in therapy.
