New to Grow
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across medical, educational, and community settings. I hold a Master of Social Work from Boston College, where I specialized in Children, Youth, and Families, and I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent mental health. I have a special interest in neuropsychological testing and its role in guiding individualized treatment planning and support.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
You can expect to review limitations to confidentiality, an interview to understand you and your needs better, and time to ask me questions if you have any.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My clinical work has included emergency and inpatient psychiatric care at Boston Children’s Hospital, integrated behavioral health in pediatric primary care, and school-based therapy. I’ve supported clients through acute crises, complex trauma, developmental neurodivergence, and emotional and behavioral challenges, always working collaboratively with families, providers, and systems to ensure holistic, coordinated care.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I bring a deep passion for both teaching and learning to my practice, and I aim to create a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I lead sessions with empathy and unconditional positive regard, tailoring my approach to meet each individual’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Aspects of cognitive diffusion techniques such as "leaves on a stream," can be helpful when reframing does not feel effective.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Aspects of distress tolerance skills can be very helpful, especially for concrete thinkers (as opposed to more abstract thinkers)
Compassion Focused
I use an empathetic lens first and foremost to connect with my clients.
Narrative
The way we speak to ourselves about who we are and the experiences we've had are very important!
