In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I will gather some personal background information, develop treatment goals with you-related to the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me understand your unique circumstance, and create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion regardless of your background, BIPOC, creed, disability, LGBTQIA+, alternative lifestyle, or religion. I also strive to be culturally affirming and respect the positive elements that all cultures can provide to a client's sense of well-being. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have clinical expertise in supporting my clients in facing and finding their way through the challenges life puts in front of us such as, coping with disabilities (especially with hearing loss), managing depression, intimacy related issues, overcoming less-effective coping strategies (such as various forms of addictions), life changing events, relationship issues, & stress and anxiety to name a few.
Eclectic
My therapeutic approach is based on the concept that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to healing and well-being. Each client is unique and needs an approach that is tailored specifically for them. My therapeutic approach draws on many evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered/Strengths Based, Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Emotion Regulation Skills System.
