About me

I'm Angela Harrington with 10 years please experience in mental health, co-occurring disorders, and substance abuse disorders. My goal in therapy is to elicit change talk, provide positive insight, and motivation to free yourself. When working with clients my structured approach is from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) where the individual learns to explore the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The individual will be free and open to discuss in a confidential environment their troubling thoughts, feelings and emotions, while learning and identifying new perspectives, distress tolerance and reduction, and discovering themselves.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Some of my greatest strength as a provider is having a good understanding of symptomology and mental health issues. As a therapist, I feel I possess being empathetic, compassionate, and great listening skills. My ability to think quickly in challenging situations and creativity in solving problems and tackle obstacles in new ways.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The best client that I'm in position to serve is someone who is motivated to change and willing to put in the work to make changes in their life. The client will learn to be committed to the process of therapy and implement their change work.
