About me

I am a bilingual, independent clinical social worker with a background in public health and more than 18 years of experience in both physical and mental health care. Over the past seven years, my focus has been on providing mental health therapy to individuals seeking meaningful change and personal growth. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to deepen their self-awareness, explore the emotional and relational aspects of their experiences, and identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that influence daily life. My goal is to empower clients to build effective coping skills, navigate life’s challenges with confidence, and enhance their overall well-being. I am fluent in Amharic and offer therapy in both English and Amharic to best support the needs of my clients.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin with a brief introduction and take time to get to know each other. I’ll learn about your specific needs, goals, and expectations, and I’ll also share what you can expect from me as your therapist. Together, we’ll use this information to create a plan for our follow-up sessions and start building a supportive, collaborative foundation for your therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 18 years of experience in both physical and mental health, I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy. Together, we’ll identify your unique mental health and wellness challenges, explore ways to overcome or manage them, and develop personalized coping strategies that fit your needs. My goal is to create a tailored plan that supports measurable progress and helps you build a healthier, more balanced life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. My approach is collaborative and supportive—I work together with clients to explore their unique mental health challenges, understand difficult emotions and their sources, and replace unhelpful thought patterns with more positive, empowering perspectives. I believe that challenges can be opportunities for growth, and my goal is to help clients build resilience, enhance coping skills, and reach their fullest potential.
