Hi, I’m Daphne, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 12 years of experience helping adults navigate intense emotions, mood instability, and trauma-related challenges. I provide a warm, steady, and emotionally attuned space where your experiences are respected and explored with care. I specialize in working with depression, bipolar spectrum concerns, emotional dysregulation, trauma-related mood shifts, and identity-related struggles that can make daily life feel overwhelming. My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support emotional balance, insight, and lasting change. EMDR services will be available soon. Clients often report improved emotional regulation, stronger self-understanding, healthier relationships, and increased confidence. I aim to honor your story while helping you build resilience and practical tools for long-term growth. Please note: Requests for letters, evaluations, or documentation outside of standard therapy services require additional fees and are not billable to insurance. ESA letters are available after intake and two additional therapy sessions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We’ll start by getting to know each other and creating a comfortable, safe space for you. I’ll ask about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a chance for you to ask questions about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and how we’ll work together. We’ll review confidentiality, discuss how sessions typically run, and set some initial goals based on what feels most important to you. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once, we’ll go at your pace. The first session is all about building trust and starting a partnership focused on your well-being. After this session, you’ll have a clearer idea of how therapy can support you and what the next steps might look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is intuitive empathy and deep listening. I create a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe to be fully yourself. I help you recognize and build on strengths you may not yet see, empowering you to take ownership of your healing at your own pace. As a creative and expressive therapist, I often incorporate imagery, symbolism, and language to deepen insight and make complex emotional experiences more accessible. My approach is eclectic and tailored, blending evidence-based methods to fit your unique needs and lived experience. Clients often experience greater emotional balance, self-awareness, stronger relationships, and increased confidence. Above all, I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, authenticity, and steady support as you work toward meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best suited to support clients who are deeply self-aware, highly sensitive, and navigating complex inner emotional worlds. Many have been told they feel “too much” and are ready for a deeper, more validating therapeutic experience. If you feel overwhelmed by emotions, struggle with self-trust, or experience parts of yourself that feel conflicted or misunderstood, my approach may be a good fit. I work especially well with individuals who appear high functioning externally while managing intense emotions, identity shifts, or trauma-related responses internally. My focus is on strengthening inner resources, increasing emotional clarity, and building practical coping tools while supporting deeper healing. I offer a collaborative, compassionate space where your experiences are honored and your pace and goals are respected.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In our sessions, we’ll explore the different “parts” of you, each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles. You might notice parts that try to protect you, parts that carry pain, and parts that feel stuck. I’ll help you get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. Together, we’ll work toward helping these parts feel heard and supported, so you can feel more balanced and connected to your true self, the calm, wise core that’s always within you.

Strength-Based

I believe you already have many strengths, even if they’re hard to see right now. Together, we’ll explore the skills, values, and resources you’ve used to get through tough times. We’ll build on what’s working and use that as a foundation for moving forward. You are more capable than you may realize, and I’m here to help you tap into that power.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you build skills to manage intense emotions, navigate relationships, and stay grounded during tough moments. I’ll support you in learning practical tools like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills. At the same time, we’ll hold space for both acceptance and change. You can honor where you are while also working toward where you want to be. We’re in this together, and I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In our sessions, I’ll help you learn how to slow down and notice what’s happening in the present moment without judgment. Together, we’ll practice simple techniques like breathing, body awareness, and gentle observation of thoughts and emotions. You don’t have to change everything right away; we’ll focus on building awareness so you can respond to stress and challenges with more clarity and calm. This approach can help you feel more grounded, even when things around you feel overwhelming.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In our work together, we’ll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Sometimes the way we think about things can make challenges feel even heavier. I’ll help you notice unhelpful thought patterns and learn how to shift them in ways that support your goals. Together, we’ll practice strategies you can use in daily life to reduce stress, improve your mood, and feel more in control. You don’t have to do it alone, we’ll take it one step at a time.
