About me

My name is Corinna Navarro and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Southern California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with young adults and specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, and life transitions. I am an eclectic therapist meaning I pull from various types of therapy to help you identify their needs, make progress and start feeling better.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session consists of getting to know you and trying to gather important information such as why you chose to come to therapy. We will work on goal-setting and I will provide you with relevant information to support you in meeting your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy varies based on your individual needs. I most frequently use Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment-based Therapy as modalities that help me support you in building a shared understanding of your experiences, and allow us to work together to make progress in your goals. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. I regularly check in with you about how sessions are going and value your feedback for my own self-growth but most importantly for you to get the most out of your session. I occasionally use humor as a therapeutic tool (and when appropriate) because laughter is the best medicine.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for young adults who may be dealing with the challenges of transitions in their life such as moving out, moving on from relationships, starting school or their careers, recent losses and family conflicts. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, and stress. I work to help you navigate these transition periods and to build skills to allow yourself feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.

Really great first meet with Corinna. She made the appointment very comfortable and professional. Ensured that needs were met and that we were on the same page throughout the appointment. Very much recommend.
