I work with individuals to enable them to move their lives in a direction that they value. I use a variety of interventions and incorporate mindfulness-based practices as a foundation for my clients. I have worked with all age ranges yet currently, I see exclusively adults (18 and older). My background has allowed me to work extensively with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. My theoretical orientation is integrative and post-modern. I have substantial experience working with clients presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically. I also frequently do testing for ADHD if that is a presenting concern.
After our initial session we will collaborate regarding treatment planning and the best direction forward. Sessions will involve learning various techniques to practice outside of therapy. It is important that I emphasize the importance of taking what is learned in therapy and applying it to daily life.
I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, some of which include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, imaginative exposure, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, interactive feedback, Interpersonal Therapy, and mindfulness training.
I have substantial experience in mindfulness training and mindfulness practices that enable clients to become more aware of the present moment and use this awareness to interact more effectively in their daily lives. I also have significant experience working with clients with ADHD.
