New to Grow
I’m Dr. Farah Pez, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My work is rooted in a person-centered, non-judgmental approach that empowers clients to reconnect with their inner strengths. With a cross-cultural background and extensive clinical training, I provide a compassionate, grounded space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with honesty and confidence.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a conversation designed to help you feel at ease. You’re welcome to share whatever feels most important—your history, what’s been weighing on you, or simply what brought you to therapy at this moment. I may ask gentle questions about your background, relationships, and daily life to better understand your unique context. There is no pressure to disclose anything before you’re ready. My goal is to begin building trust, clarify your hopes for therapy, and ensure you feel heard and supported from the very beginning.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strengths lie in my warm, patient, non-directive style and my ability to truly listen beneath the surface. I help clients gain insight through thoughtful questioning, reflective dialogue, and a deeply compassionate presence. With a strong cross-cultural lens and decades of clinical experience, I tailor treatment to each person’s lived experience while integrating person-centered principles with evidence-based approaches when needed. Clients often share that they feel genuinely understood, valued, and empowered to trust their own inner wisdom—ultimately building confidence, resilience, and lasting emotional clarity.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best suited for clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves—people who are ready for real change but want a therapist who listens deeply rather than dictates solutions. My ideal clients are thoughtful, introspective, and open to exploring their inner world. They may be navigating persistent anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, or major life transitions. Whether you are a young adult learning to trust yourself or someone later in life confronting new challenges, I work best with individuals who value collaboration, curiosity, and emotional growth.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I specialize in person-centered therapy with 20+ years of experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Rather than giving advice, I ask thoughtful questions that guide you to your own insights. My cross-cultural perspective ensures you'll feel understood while we build healthy coping strategies together.
