Hello there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I have been practicing for the past 15 years. I help individuals, couples, and families understand what information their thoughts, feelings, and emotions are informing them about so that I can support and empower them to become the best versions of themselves. This is done through practical and realistic strategies that integrate into their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges you're facing. Then we will create a practical, realistic and doable plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions and for you to practice as part of your daily activities in learning new skills and integrating them as part of your new routine.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with individuals, couples and families for the past 15 years, I've developed strong skills in helping people identify and learn what information their thoughts, feelings and emotions are telling them through a different perspective. I've developed strategies that are practical and support the client move forward, plus empower them to have more confidence in themselves.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I've used Solution Focused Brief Therapy for 15 years. It’s helped many clients with anxiety, depression, family management, and couples issues. We will look at what has been working, what gets in the way of what works, and learn new copy skills to help you manage your situation. We will create a realistic action plan that is flexible enough to consider your individual and family dynamics to achieve success and a less stressed life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 15 years. It’s helped many of clients challenge limiting ng thoughts and manage their anxiety, depression, family and couple's issues. We’ll use CBT to identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Hypnotherapy

I've assisted clients with Hypnotherapy for the eight (8) to help clients address and resolve various psychological and behavioral issues. During hypnotherapy, I guide the client into a deeply relaxed, focused state of mind and redirect it with client's suggestions to alleviate, modify or resolve presenting issues. In this state the client and therapist work together on the subconscious mind. This approach is effective for a range of issues, including stress, anxiety, phobias, depression, addiction, and chronic pain. By accessing the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy can help clients identify and alter negative patterns of thinking, reduce emotional distress, and reinforce positive changes. The goal is to empower clients to gain control over behaviors and emotions that may feel difficult to manage in their normal waking state. Hypnotherapy is often used alongside other forms of therapy to enhance overall treatment outcomes.
