I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience providing compassionate and solution-focused therapy to individuals and families. My practice is centered around helping clients manage anxiety, reduce stress, develop healthy habits, and navigate the challenges of parenting. I believe in a a collaborative, personalized approach to therapy, working closely with clients to understand their unique concerns and help them achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first counseling session is your opportunity to get to know me, discuss your concerns, and set the foundation for your therapeutic journey by identifying some short, and long term goals. I will introduce myself and my approach to therapy. You will have a chance to share your reasons for seeking therapy and I will ask some questions to understand your current situation. The goal is to start building a trusting and comfortable relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathetic, non-judgement, and an excellent listener consistently striving to guide clients in finding concrete steps to address their challenges, whether it is managing anxiety, building healthy habits, or improving relationships. I am always continuing to grow and expand my knowledge to be best equipped to offer clients the most effective and evidenced based treatments.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is evidenced based and highly effective for improvement of anxiety and stress. I provide clients with a safe place to identify what is working well in your life and what is not working. CBT helps you to learn to better understand yourself. Strategies will be recommended to give you an opportunity to practice new ways of thinking about and reacting to people and events in your life. The result is having more of a sense of control over your thoughts and feelings to help you feel better in every day life.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is an empowering and client centered approach designed to help people achieve positive behavioral changes. I have experience helping people addiction and increasing healthy habits like exercising more, eating well, and enhancing self care.
