I am licensed in Florida with 15 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence & depression. I am passionate about helping others. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
In a first session, I like to focus on starting to get to know you and provide you a space to get a sense of me and whether you feel I would be a good match for you and your goals. We can do this by identifying and exploring your reasons for seeking out therapy, exploring your goals and allowing you to ask any questions about the therapy process that you may have. I also like to complete a general assessment of your life story and history without getting into anything in too much depth initially.
Having a background in trauma informed care and trauma focused treatment, I have the ability to help my clients connect present challenges and struggles back to root causes in the past in order to facilitate sustainable healing and empower self-awareness and true understanding of themselves.
