LICSW, 12 years of experience
I’m a licensed clinician dedicated to helping young adults build meaningful, fulfilling lives. I firmly believe that no matter your circumstances, with the right support and tools, lasting change is possible. My work focuses on guiding individuals—particularly young and emerging adults—through life’s challenges, helping them manage stress, build self-worth, and create a foundation for happiness and success. If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken an important first step toward positive change.
In our first session we will briefly review your history and focus on what brought you to therapy. We will identify specific goals and create an action plan together in which we will use to structure follow up sessions.
Over the past 12 years, I've developed specialized skills to help individuals navigate the transitions from adolescence into young adulthood and beyond. I’ve successfully supported clients in managing intense emotions, boosting self-worth, cultivating a sense of purpose, setting healthy boundaries, and letting go of the guilt and worry that often hold us back.
I’m passionate about working with young adults navigating the complexities of education, career transitions, evolving family dynamics, relationships, and the existential questions that often emerge during this pivotal stage of life.
I have 10 years of experience in a multitude of settings using a wide range of CBT skills to help identify and challenge distorted core beliefs that often stem from Anxiety. Together we will work to identify and challenge thinking errors which will lead to better management of symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve decision making, increase self-worth, and improve overall functioning.
I have 10 years of experience making use of DBT skills with a multitude of populations. I have found this evidenced based form of treatment exceptionally helpful to manage the high intensity of emotions that often come with diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder and PTSD. Together we will create weekly measured goals and make use of DBT skills to improve upon emotion regulation, self-care, relationships, and reduce high risk or impulsive behaviors. DBT has provided many individuals with the opportunity to better explore their sense of purpose and value, improving upon motivation and self-worth.
I have 5 years of experience making use of ACT, particularly within the Young Adult (18-26) population as well as particular diagnoses such as Anxiety and OCD, and those with a history of trauma and/or substance use. This form of action-oriented treatment provides a space to begin to learn how to accept difficult or uncomfortable realities, empowering clients to take control of their behaviors. Together we will learn that acceptance is not "giving in" and the power we gain from taking control of these difficult situations as we face them head on.
