I am Remya Jacob, licensed clinical social worker in the state of California with experience of working as a medical social worker in various healthcare settings including memory care, clinics and hospice. My work focuses on helping and supporting individuals with different coping skills, prevent burnout and reducing stress. I like to incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy during sessions.

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan and decide on short and long term goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I would like to create a comfortable environment for my clients so they can be their true self.

My treatment methods will be focusing on client-centered approaches, cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, strength-based therapy and other interventions as needed. I also have experience in grief and bereavement.
