Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and my MDIV from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I have been practicing for 6 years. I help teenagers to 70 year old adults through a gamut of life issues providing them a safe space to process, get greater understanding and clarity and to have peace.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. When necessary I will ask about your family of origin and your relationship to those family members. Then we will dive into the specific challenges you're facing. All of this will help me get to know you better and to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my listening skills and discernment so as to identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I provide individual, marriage, and group counseling, integrating Christian values and scriptural truths with professional therapeutic services. My goal is to help you better understand your situation and feelings, move toward healing, and grow through renewed knowledge and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Using my expertise in human behavior and spiritual growth, I will offer insights and practical strategies to help you move forward. While I am committed to listening, understanding, and guiding with the Holy Spirit's wisdom, your active participation, openness, and courage to embrace new approaches are essential for meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

How we think determines our actions. In CBT guided discovery, I will take the time to understand your viewpoint and ask questions designed to challenge your beliefs and expand your thinking. I may ask you to provide evidence that supports your assumptions, as well as evidence that challenges them. Through this process, you’ll learn to consider different perspectives, including ones you may not have explored before. This can help you choose a path that is more beneficial for your growth and well-being.

Psychodynamic

I ask questions and listen as you share experiences from your past that might be negatively affecting your current thinking, feeling and behavior. Te goal is to reframe and take the power from past experiences that negatively affect your current life.
