The first session will be focused on building rapport. It is my goal to make sure that my client/clients are comfortable in this new setting.
My greatest strengths as a provider are that I am a good listener, creative, and dedicated. It is my primary objective to look at each case individually to design a treatment plan that will work for that client and/or couple. I want people to succeed with their mental health goals.
This is a modality that I have used for years related to anxiety and depression, just to name a few.
ACT is related to traditional therapy and CBT. It utilizes skills that the client already presents with and helps the client to stop avoiding and denying the realities of the challenges they are having.
While this is not the only type of counseling I provide at my practice, it is one of several modalities that I am able to utilize.
Couples counseling has been something that has been a passion of mine for 6+ years now. I use the Gottman method, as well as imago therapy, and several other modalities specific to couples counseling.
Strength-based therapy is a method of working directly with the client's strengths.
