As a long-term provider of mental health, I feel that therapy is very much like coaching. Together we can affect change using the tenets of CBT. I like to work in a brief, short-term and goal-centered approach. Come with an open mind and let us talk about making minor adjustments that can lead to long term changes. My mantra is -- "How can I help?" And if it sounds like a "Zen" like approach to counseling- maybe it is.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is always the most stilted in that I must get some general background information. Of course, we will get goals established and some homework might be assigned. After that the sessions will be more natural as I get to know your world.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Using brief client-center CBT and some humor, my work in anxiety and overall trauma recovery seems to be efficient. I feel that my clients experience empowerment very quickly and they feel more positivity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

At this point in my career, I have some limited morning hours, and I would like to help people if they have that availability. I like to work fast but that is guided by the client's comfort level. I have had tremendous success in the world of anxiety management. I have also been in private practice in one form or another for over 30 years, I have helped before!
