I am a licensed trauma therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant who helps adults heal from PTSD, anxiety, and depression. My style is warm, direct, and highly practical. I pair EMDR with tools from CBT, and parts-informed work so you get both symptom relief and lasting change. I work often with veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and high-achieving professionals. Sessions are available via secure telehealth in NV, WA, NM, and ID.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We start by making sure you feel safe and in control. I explain EMDR in plain language, review consent and confidentiality, and learn what matters most to you right now. We build stabilization skills first, such as grounding, calm place, and a container exercise, so you are prepared for EMDR. If EMDR is a good fit, we outline a treatment map, identify initial targets, and agree on how we will measure progress. You never have to share graphic details for EMDR to work. We go at your pace and end the session with a simple plan you can use during the week.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

EMDR expertise with thoughtful pacing, especially in Phases 1 and 2. Clear case conceptualization that links present triggers to past experiences and installs resilient beliefs for the future. Practical skill-building you can use immediately. Strong experience with veterans, first responders, and complex trauma while staying grounded in evidence-based care. I am transparent, collaborative, and results-oriented. We track change together using SUDS, VOC, and your real-life wins, then adjust the plan so therapy stays efficient and effective.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best for adults who want a clear plan and an active, collaborative therapist. You may have trauma memories, moral injury, panic, grief, or chronic self-doubt. You might also have anxiety or depression without a single “big T” event and want EMDR to unhook persistent beliefs like I am not safe, I am a failure, or I am a burden. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally responsive, and comfortable working with complex trauma, occupational trauma, and performance stress. If you value transparency, measurable progress, and learning skills you can use between sessions, we will be a strong fit.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and licensed trauma therapist with extensive experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I began integrating EMDR into my practice several years ago after completing advanced trauma trainings and have since conducted hundreds of EMDR sessions with diverse clients, including veterans, first responders, and survivors of abuse. In my work, I use EMDR both as a primary trauma treatment and as an integrated approach alongside CBT, mindfulness, and parts-based models. I emphasize safety, attunement, and client readiness, spending ample time in Phases 1 and 2 to build stability before reprocessing. My goal is to help clients reduce distress, reprocess stuck memories, and develop a renewed sense of control and self-worth.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I am a licensed trauma therapist with extensive experience using parts informed therapy to treat PTSD, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I help clients identify protective parts, understand what those parts are guarding, and strengthen the steady core self that can lead with compassion and clarity. My approach draws from IFS, ego state therapy, and schema modes. I use parts work both as a primary treatment and alongside EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and stabilization skills. Sessions move at the pace of consent and readiness. We befriend protectors before approaching painful material, keep one foot in the present at all times, and prioritize safety and choice. The goal is to reduce distress, loosen stuck patterns, and restore confidence, self compassion, and flexibility in daily life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you see the links between thoughts, feelings, and actions, then test small changes that improve daily life. We identify unhelpful patterns, build balanced alternatives, and use behavioral experiments, activation plans, and skills for worry and avoidance. Practice between sessions is brief and targeted to your goals. The focus is practical progress you can feel: clearer thinking, steadier mood, and habits that support the life you want.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use practical, gentle mindfulness to build present-moment awareness and self-compassion. We keep exercises short and flexible, such as grounding through the senses, paced breathing, and kind attention to difficult thoughts or feelings. No forced stillness and no performance pressure. You can pause or stop at any time. The goal is to widen your window of tolerance, reduce reactivity, and help you respond to stress with more calm and choice.

Trauma Informed Care

I am a licensed trauma therapist who centers safety, choice, and collaboration in every session. We start by building stability and trust, then move at the pace of consent and readiness. I use clear boundaries, transparent goals, and skills that lower distress without forcing you to retell painful events. Cultural responsiveness and your lived context guide the work. The aim is steadier regulation, stronger sense of control, and enough safety in daily life to explore deeper healing when you are ready.
