Hi, I’m Brittany — a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania who helps women heal from trauma, break free from intrusive thoughts, and manage high-functioning anxiety without burning themselves out. Many of my clients appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside—carrying childhood trauma, people-pleasing patterns, chronic worry, or perfectionism that never seems to let up. If this sounds like you, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep powering through it. When I’m not working with clients, you can usually find me outdoors with my family and dog, reading, traveling, going to concerts or comedy shows, or doing a Bible study. These things help me stay grounded — and I bring that same grounded energy into sessions.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what you’re hoping to change or understand. Many women come in feeling anxious about starting therapy, so I make this initial appointment calm, structured, and supportive. We’ll talk about what brought you here, any symptoms you’re noticing (like anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or trauma responses), and what you would like life to feel like instead. You don’t need to prepare anything or know how to “explain it perfectly.” I’ll guide the conversation with gentle questions and make sure the pace feels comfortable. Together, we’ll start identifying patterns, triggers, strengths, and what’s been keeping you stuck. By the end of the session, we’ll outline a clear plan for moving forward—rooted in the approaches that best fit your goals, such as EMDR, CBT, I-CBT, EX/RP, or somatic work. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, grounded, and hopeful about the path ahead. Clients often begin to experience relief and clarity within the first few sessions as we identify patterns and start building regulation skills.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Calm, Regulating Therapeutic Presence Create a predictable, safe environment that supports clients with trauma histories, intrusive thoughts, or heightened anxiety. Mind–Body Integration Utilize somatic strategies to address physiological activation, improving emotional regulation and treatment responsiveness.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal client is a high-functioning woman who appears capable and composed on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck on the inside. She may be carrying unresolved trauma, struggling with intrusive thoughts, or managing chronic stress that never fully lets up. She is motivated for change, open to evidence-based treatment, and ready to understand how her mind and body have been shaped by past experiences. She wants more than surface-level coping skills—she wants clarity, stability, and lasting relief. She may identify with: Persistent anxiety, overthinking, or panic symptoms Trauma or PTSD from childhood, relationships, or chronic stress OCD or intrusive thoughts that feel distressing or hard to control Perfectionism, people-pleasing, or difficulty slowing down Emotional numbness, hypervigilance, or feeling “on edge” Somatic symptoms tied to stress or trauma Feeling successful externally but exhausted internally My ideal client is ready for structured, evidence-based care using approaches like EMDR, CBT, I-CBT, EX/RP, DBT-informed strategies, and somatic work. She values direct feedback, clear treatment planning, and a therapeutic space that is grounding, calm, and nonjudgmental. She doesn’t need to know exactly where to start—just that she’s ready to feel better. Together, we focus on symptom reduction, nervous system regulation, and rebuilding a sense of safety and control in her life.
EMDR
I use EMDR to treat various experiences including trauma, ptsd, complex ptsd, and anxiety.
Eclectic
I use a variety of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, attachment theory, somatic therapy, and IFS. We will craft a tailored treatment plan together.
