I am a licensed therapist (LMFT) and have been practicing for the past 5 years with a wide range of diverse clients. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from UCLA and my masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. My clients describe my style as genuine, comfortable, patient and educational. I lead with my heart while also helping people connect with reason, skills and resources.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will take some time to get to know each other, identify what areas you would like to focus on during our time together, identify what resources are helping and what areas we need to expand upon and leave with some goals to focus until the next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths are that I value the complexity of culture, identity and systemic injustice in how that affects individual and community mental health. I also have a strong skill set in helping people communicate in a more effective way which helps with their relationships. I think my ability to show up authentically myself helps create unique relationships with my clients so that the feel like they can do the same, which is backed up by research to alleviate mental health symptoms. I am genuinely invested in supporting others let down their mask and building up their self esteem in who they truly are.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with people from all different walks of life that are feeling inspired to make a shift for the better. I enjoy clients who are trying therapy for the first time as well as experienced therapy goers who are looking for a fresh, dynamic shift in treatment. I feel passionate about helping clients build up their confidence in their awareness of their feelings and emotional needs in order to develop creative coping strategies and foster meaningful relationships. Raising awareness is one goal; learning how to communicate in a more effective way is another. I like helping people who are ready to liberate themselves from what is no longer serving them so that they can live more authentic lives. I like working with individuals from all different backgrounds, couples, and youth (10-18).

My treatment methods

Integrative

I was trained in Relational Gestalt theory, which uses a holistic approach to understanding our own experience in the world as well as focusing on authentic relationships with others. I also integrate other modalities to create an unique treatment for each client, such as narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, existentialism, liberation psychology, affirmative therapy and trauma-informed care.

Gestalt

My foundational training is in Gestalt theory which I received while working at The Relational Center in Los Angeles. This is a humanistic approach that supports clients in chipping away at feelings of shame by helping them to identify their feelings in connection to unmet needs without judging them. It also focuses on relationship building, including the one between clients and their therapists.
