If you are reading this then you have already taken the first step to addressing whatever challenge you are facing or questions you may be asking yourself. Perhaps you are unsatisfied with your life and don't know how to change it. Perhaps you know what the underlying issue is but are afraid to tackle it. Maybe you struggle with co-parenting after a divorce or your teenager is self-harming and you want to help but don’t know how. Maybe you struggle with addiction or self-medicate to avoid dealing with emotional pain. I help clients to examine their core values and also identify any limiting beliefs they may have so that they can better align with their core values.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with clients from various cultural backgrounds and age groups I have learned from my clients that I am relatable and make them feel comfortable when talking about difficult and sometimes embarrassing things.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The approach of CBT examines the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behavior. Identifying negative thought patterns, specifically limiting beliefs and other cognitive distortions can allow us to reframe our thoughts to thoughts that are more accurate and helpful. If we are not aware when these thoughts are present or what they are, we will continue to respond in the same way to situations. CBT is an evidence based practice for which I received specialized training to treat depression and anxiety. Skills are taught to help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression and regulate moods.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP which is often referred to as exposure therapy is the gold standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Many people are under the impression that OCD is focussed around fears of germs and rituals. However, many people struggle with obsessive thinking around various themes such as relationship, intrusive repetitive thoughts about harm, religion, inappropriate or immoral thoughts and they experience high levels of distress due the presence of these thoughts. ERP is an effective treatment which I have received specialized training.
