Hi there! I’m Katie, a licensed clinical therapist who loves helping kids, adolescents and adults discover their strengths and overcome challenges. With over eight years of experience, I create a fun and safe space where everyone feels comfortable to express themselves. My experience has allowed me to assist numerous clients in addressing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, strained family relationships, and more.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

At our initial meeting, we will initiate the therapeutic relationship-building process. I will create a safe and empathetic space where trust is established. We will start building rapport, conduct needs-based assessments, and define goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I strive to create a secure and non-judgmental space where clients feel at ease sharing their challenges. I offer techniques to alter and challenge thoughts and behaviors that impact your mental health.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I utilize a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho dynamic techniques, and supportive counseling modalities. For children, I use games, stories, and creative activities to help them understand their feelings and more. For adults, I focus on practical tools and strategies to manage stress, improve relationships, and find balance.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Implementing CBT can help individuals understand and challenge negative thoughts and thinking patterns and develop positive thinking patterns and coping skills.

Compassion Focused

I believe an excellent therapist you have to work with compassion and understanding. Being compassionate for clients can set a great foundation for a therapeutic relationship.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems is an approach to psychotherapy that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities within each person’s mental system. Internal Family Systems focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Our focus in sessions will begin by focusing on areas of your life you want to work on that are affecting you currently.
