With many years of experience as a licensed mental health therapist, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients across different life stages and challenges. My approach to therapy is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Throughout my career, I have witnessed meaningful change as clients make progress in their emotional well-being and personal growth. I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns, and I also enjoy helping couples strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and find their way back to one another during difficult periods. My therapeutic style is grounded in empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to creating a safe and supportive space. I will be direct and challenge you when appropriate. I strive to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they develop insight, resilience, and practical tools for change. I believe in each person’s capacity for growth and healing, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside clients on their journey toward greater clarity, connection, and well-being. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is 30 minutes, focused on creating a comfortable and supportive foundation for our work together. I want you to feel heard, understood, and at ease from the very beginning. We’ll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to gain, and any concerns or questions you may have. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your background, experiences, and current challenges, which will help guide our work and ensure sessions are tailored to your specific needs. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and an initial direction for therapy at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy is a collaborative process, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. After our first session, we will meet for an hour each session. You’re not alone in this journey—I’m here to support and guide you as you move toward greater clarity, healing, and growth. Please note: Couples Therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.**
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are rooted in my clinical experience, relational skill, and ability to adapt therapy to each individual or couple I work with. I bring empathy, compassion, and active listening and direct communication into every session, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood, respected, and accepted. I draw from extensive clinical knowledge and evidence-based practices to tailor treatment to each client’s goals, needs, and life circumstances. I am flexible and collaborative in my approach, helping clients problem-solve challenges, build insight, and develop resilience in ways that feel practical and achievable. I value cultural awareness and inclusivity and I approach therapy with curiosity and respect for each person’s lived experience. Above all, I am deeply committed to helping clients move toward greater emotional well-being, stronger relationships, and a more fulfilling life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with individuals and couples who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to reflect and put in the time to see meaningful change. I honor the courage it takes to seek support, and I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where trust can develop at a pace that feels right for you. In our work together, therapy is collaborative and active. We will explore challenges thoughtfully while also identifying practical tools and strategies you can apply in your daily life. I value the work that happens both during and between sessions, as meaningful change often comes from practicing new skills, increasing awareness, and making small, intentional shifts over time. If you are seeking a supportive, engaged therapeutic relationship and are open to participating in your own growth and healing, we may be a good fit. **Please note: Couples Therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.**
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as part of an integrative approach to help individuals and couples better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a practical, evidence-based method that supports clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and developing healthier, more effective ways of responding to life’s challenges. In our work together, CBT techniques may be used to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and trauma-related symptoms. Sessions focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and applying strategies that can be used both in and outside of therapy. My goal is to help clients feel more empowered, grounded, and capable of navigating difficult situations with greater clarity and confidence. ** Please note: Couple's therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-Centered Therapy is a compassionate, client-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and a strong therapeutic relationship. In my work, this approach helps create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel accepted and supported as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences. By fostering trust and unconditional positive regard, person-centered therapy allows clients to move at their own pace while gaining insight, confidence, and a deeper understanding of themselves. This approach is especially helpful for individuals seeking emotional support, self-awareness, and personal growth during periods of stress, transition, or uncertainty. ** Please note: Couple's therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.
Supportive
Supportive therapy focuses on providing emotional support, encouragement, and practical guidance while helping clients navigate life’s challenges. In our sessions, I offer a steady, compassionate presence where clients can explore thoughts and feelings openly, strengthen coping skills, and feel validated in their experiences. This approach is especially helpful for individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Together, we focus on building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and developing strategies that support emotional well-being and day-to-day functioning. Supportive therapy is collaborative and flexible, meeting clients where they are while fostering insight, confidence, and meaningful change over time. My goal is to help clients feel supported, understood, and better equipped to manage challenges both within and outside of therapy. ** Please note: Couple's therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a relationship-centered, evidence-based approach that helps individuals and couples better understand emotional patterns, attachment needs, and the ways these show up in relationships. EFT focuses on creating emotional safety, strengthening connection, and improving communication by helping clients access and express emotions in healthier, more effective ways. In our work together, EFT can help identify recurring cycles of conflict or disconnection and replace them with more supportive and responsive interactions. This approach is especially effective for couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in repetitive patterns, as well as individuals seeking deeper insight into their emotional and relational experiences. By fostering emotional awareness and secure connection, EFT supports lasting change, helping clients feel more understood, connected, and resilient both within themselves and in their relationships. ** Please note: Couple's therapy is offered on a cash-pay basis at $85 per session.

Nancy allows me to take the time to think about how I feel, respond and react. She also phrases questions so that I can understand and/or think about more. I feel better after speaking with her and feel more empowered, and I make a concerted effort to try new things and break "not so great" habits.

My husband and I sought help for communication and trust issues but left each session feeling judged and misunderstood. The counselor made harsh, culturally insensitive, unfounded statements, called us the “worst case” she’d seen, and recommended separation. Sessions felt unprofessional and damaging. We regret trusting her with our personal history and do not recommend her.
