Trust the process.
Please feel free to send a message or setup at FREE 15-minute phone consultation to get started. In addition to therapy, I offer clinical supervision for CSWs (KY) and LSWs (IN) pursuing LCSW licensure. Supervision is about growing into your clinical voice with integrity, clarity, and confidence.
I provide a safe client-centered, down to earth therapeutic approach.
Whether you’re facing depression, anxiety, addiction, or complex PTSD, I walk alongside you with clinical skill and deep compassion. My approach integrates evidence-based interventions with a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and spiritually inclusiveive lens. I welcome faith and spirituality as part of the healing journey when desired.
In my practice, I use this method through a trauma-informed lens by focusing on safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and empowerment. I move at the client’s pace, integrate grounding and regulation skills, and check in often to prevent retraumatization. I also provide psychoeducation so clients understand what is happening in their bodies and minds, which reduces fear and builds confidence. I adapt interventions to each person’s history and strengths, combining structured techniques with mindfulness or narrative work as needed. This approach helps clients process difficult experiences while developing resilience, reframing harmful beliefs, and building healthier coping skills. It supports both healing and a renewed sense of control over their lives.
For clients who seek this method, my approach integrates clinical therapeutic techniques with Biblical principles to support emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. Sessions are grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, while incorporating Scripture, prayer, and faith-based reflection to promote alignment between a client’s beliefs and their personal growth. The goal is to help clients strengthen their relationship with God, gain spiritual insight, and develop practical coping skills rooted in both psychology and faith.
My approach uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Through structured techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills training, clients learn to recognize distorted thinking, develop healthier perspectives, and apply practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. The goal is to empower clients to build lasting change by understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions.
My approach utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills. DBT focuses on balancing acceptance and change, teaching clients how to manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve relationships. Through structured skills training and individualized support, clients learn to respond to life’s challenges with greater stability, self-awareness, and resilience.
My approach incorporates Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Using empathy, reflective listening, and collaborative dialogue, clients are guided to identify their personal motivations, values, and goals. MI empowers clients to strengthen their own commitment to positive change by enhancing intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy, rather than relying on external pressure or confrontation.
