Welcome! I’m Jalisia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping people navigate life’s most difficult moments. If you’ve asked yourself this question, “Why does life feel like it’s one thing after another?” You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or drained. Maybe your self-esteem has taken a hit, and motivation feels hard to find. Life can throw curveballs, and when it does, it’s okay to need support. Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s an act of courage and self-care. With the right guidance, you can come out stronger, more balanced, and more confident. My approach is person-centered, meaning you are in control of your healing journey. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, self-awareness, and emotional growth, empowering you to make the changes you desire.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a safe space where you feel supported and never judged. Somewhere you can show up as your full authentic self. We’ll discuss the reason you are seeking therapy, what’s getting in the way of the life you want and your desired goals. From there, we will work together to create a plan that will allow you to reach your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My ability to build rapport quickly, provide a non-judgmental presence, and helping clients feel seen and heard. I meet my clients where they are and help them move forward with clarity and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are young adults adjusting to the challenges of college life and adolescents transitioning from high school to college. I am also well positioned to serve clients experiencing significant life transitions and justice-involved individuals who are seeking support, stability, and positive change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through CBT, we explore how your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns that may be keeping you stuck in cycles of worry, stress, or self-criticism. From there, I’ll help you practice realistic, balanced ways of thinking and healthier coping strategies that you can apply in everyday life. CBT is practical and skills-based, so you’ll walk away with tools you can use right away—like calming anxious thoughts, reframing negative self-talk, and building confidence in your ability to handle challenges.

Motivational Interviewing

With Motivational Interviewing, we’ll focus on what matters most to you. Instead of me telling you what to do, we’ll explore your personal goals, values, and reasons for change. This approach is especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or ambivalent about taking the next step in your journey. MI helps uncover your own motivation and strengthens your confidence so that the changes you make are not only meaningful but also sustainable. Think of it as me walking alongside you, helping you discover the “why” that fuels lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Therapy helps us shift from “what’s wrong” to “what’s possible.” Instead of getting lost in the problem, we’ll highlight your strengths, resources, and what’s already working—even if it feels small right now. From there, we’ll create simple, practical steps that bring you closer to the life you want. This approach is forward looking and empowering, making it especially effective if you’re craving relief quickly or need help building momentum toward your goals. It’s about progress, not perfection—finding those small wins that add up to big change.
