Hi! My name is Jordan Nivens, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. It can be tough when facing challenges and struggles. Taking the opportunity to seek out help is not a sign of weakness; but a demonstration of strength. I provide a nonjudgmental, understanding, and compassionate atmosphere to assist you in learning tools to cope with life’s problems, while empowering you with the skills and strength to bring about the changes you desire in life. I work with clients with various challenges including anxiety, life transition, women's issues and family/relationship concerns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you will have the opportunity for introductions and to discuss current challenges in a non judgmental space. I want you to leave the initial session feeling understood, supported, and validated. We will discuss your goals and what you desire from counseling. If it sounds like we might be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My communication style is compassionate and caring, while incorporating gentle challenging, skill building and guidance. I will challenge you in a caring and empathetic manner to look within and seek alternative options and strategies for handling life’s challenges. At times I may assign activities that may assist in reinforcement and skill building.
