Hi potential client. I am am able to see people in California and Hawaii as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I only see clients Sunday afternoons. If if this time is convenient for you please consider requesting an appointment. My experience in mental health care spans 30 years. In that time I have treat clients with many different problems and diagnoses. My degrees are from the University of Hawaii and post graduate licensing hours in California. I identify as a Asian gay man. I have also worked in the HIV/AIDS through the 80s and 90s. I learned much about resilience and loss.
In our first appointment we will start by discussing administrative topics such as confidentiality, cancel/no show policies, risks/benefits of virtual therapy, and mandated action if there is clinical risky situations. I will review with you the digital assessments that you completed. Discuss measurement based care. I will be asking you a lot of questions about your history, your current problems. We will discuss if this relationship is a good fit for both of us. We will create a treatment plan that we both can agree.
I see my strengths are my ability to hear and understand your situation. I am honest and forthright with my clients, so I will not sugar coat my thoughts and suggestions. I have years of experience that my help our work.
My ideal client will be ready to work on their short and mid term goals. Please be ready to discuss alternate thinking and behaving in your life.
