I began my professional career knowing I wanted to help others. I started in the medical field and later transitioned into mental health, where my work aligned more closely with my values and long- term vision. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across multiple settings supporting adults who experience emotional, relational, and life stressors. I describe myself as a trauma-informed therapist with a background in both mental health and substance use disorder treatment. I have experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life stress, and substance use concerns. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. My role is to support, validate, and provide insight as you lead your therapeutic journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I’ll focus on listening with empathy and validating your experiences. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy and discuss options for navigating your concerns. I’ll introduce evidence-based practices that may support your goals, and we’ll begin building a collaborative therapeutic relationship centered on your needs. You don’t need to have everything figured out—I’m here to help guide the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring experience, compassion, and a direct yet supportive approach into each session. I work with clients facing life stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns, while tailoring my communication style to each individual. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I believe therapy is a process rather than a destination. Gradual, sustainable progress is often more meaningful than immediate change, and my goal is to help clients feel validated, supported, and empowered throughout their growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adult clients who are open to feedback, self- exploration, and goal-setting. I approach therapy through a trauma-focused and attachment-informed lens, supporting clients in building insight and developing supports outside of sessions for lasting success. I enjoy working with clients who understand that goals are fluid and may change over time as new insights emerge. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, balance, and meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT since beginning my career. I have ran groups for Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Anger/Emotions Management and Dialectical Behavioral Skills. These are specific treatment CBT treatment methods.

EMDR

I have been trained in EMDR for over 4 years now. I have worked with several clients utilizing EMDR. Whether a one time traumatic event or a lifetime of traumatic events, EMDR is a beneficial treatment method.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I approach each client as they are the expert of their life and needs. I assist client's to gain insight and explore ideas for living their best life, however they are in control of what is worked on and when.

Trauma Informed Care

While EMDR is a specific trauma treatment method, it is certainly not the only one or the best choice for all clients. I approach clients with compassion and empathy as they share their concerns. Clients decide what events have been traumatic to them and what events they'd like to work on.
