Additionally, if it aligns with your preferences, I can incorporate elements of Christian faith alongside traditional talk therapy approaches.
If applicable for your situation, we can integrate Christian faith in conjunction with traditional talk therapy techniques to further explore issues and better cope with stress. This can look like integrating biblical principles to reorient outlook, prayer, scripture reading, learning about Christian coping skills, among other skills.
First you will learn about the thought, feeling, behavior connection. Then you will identify your fixed beliefs and learn skills to reorient your outlook through thought challenging, thought reframing, and thought refocusing techniques. You'll learn coping skills and journaling techniques to assist you on this journey.
We'll work to improve behavior patterns by discussing choices and decision making skills. We'll further identify different choices in a given situation as well as the projected outcomes of each choice, ultimately empowering you to make the best decisions for yourself. You'll learn skills to help you gain confidence in following through with these newer healthy decision making skills.
DBT skills are often taught in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help improve emotional mastery and improve relationships with others.
