Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a chance for us to connect and see if we're a good fit. My top priority is to create a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and understood. I want to help you let go of any fears or anxieties you might have about counseling, whether this is your first time or you've had a difficult experience in the past. We'll start by talking about what brought you here and what you hope to gain from our time together. You can ask me any questions you have about my approach, my experience, or the therapeutic process in general. I'll be listening not just to your words, but to the emotions and experiences behind them, so I can begin to understand who you are as a person. By the end of our first meeting, my goal is for you to feel a sense of relief, hope, and confidence in taking this important step toward your personal growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust and unconditional support. From our very first session, my clients know that I am truly in their corner, serving as a steadfast advocate as they navigate their journey. I excel at helping clients develop the clarity and courage to face their challenges, whether they're dealing with past trauma, ongoing issues, or simply feeling stuck. My approach is not about providing quick fixes; instead, I empower you to find your own answers and next steps. I help you tap into your inner strength and build the practical tools you need to overcome obstacles and move forward with confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I focus on general population, no exclusion. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly. I'm here to help individuals, couples, and families who are ready to make a change in their lives. I specialize in working with clients who are dealing with: Anxiety and Depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, trauma, and major life transitions. My ideal clients are people who are willing to engage in the process. This doesn't mean you have to know all the answers or be perfectly positive. It means you're open to exploring your thoughts and feelings, and you're ready to take an active role in your healing journey. My goal is to provide you with a safe and supportive space to work through your concerns and develop the tools you need to live a more fulfilling life. I'm dedicated to helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and create lasting, positive change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use an integrated approach to therapy, which means I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. My experience has shown me that the most effective treatment comes from tailoring my methods to your unique needs. I have extensive training and experience in several key therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): My foundation is in CBT, an evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I've used CBT to help countless clients with anxiety, depression, and trauma. For example, a client struggling with social anxiety might believe, "I will say something stupid, and everyone will judge me." Using CBT, we would work together to challenge that thought, test its validity, and replace it with a more balanced and realistic perspective. The goal is to give you the tools to reframe negative thinking patterns on your own, leading to lasting change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy: At the core of all my work is a person-centered philosophy. This means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where you can feel fully heard and understood. By creating this safe environment, I help you tap into your own inner wisdom and find the answers you've been looking for. This approach allows me to adapt and integrate other modalities as needed, always with your unique needs at the forefront of our work.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT): While some approaches focus on the past, SFT is a forward-looking, goal-oriented therapy. I often use this with clients who feel stuck or overwhelmed by a problem. We will work to identify your existing strengths and resources, no matter how small they seem. I might ask questions like, "On a scale of 1 to 10, where are you today, and what would it take to get to a 4?" or "Tell me about a time when you weren't dealing with this issue. What was different?" This approach helps you shift your focus from what's wrong to what's possible, empowering you to build a new, more hopeful future.
