Hi there! My name is Jaron Cotton and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience in the field of mental health. While life is a blessing for us all, it can bring incredible challenges filled with stress that can seem impossible at times. My goal in therapy is understand your goals and work together to help you achieve them. True growth comes from challenging ourselves to process, reflect and adapt in a healthy way. Remember that asking for help and showing vulnerability is actually a sign of strength, never a weakness! I am available through telehealth only at this time, but may be accepting in-person clients in the future. Thank you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My intake sessions are fairly informal and casual. My goal is to understand your wants, needs and background to best treat you. I prioritize getting to know you so I can provide the most help possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is helping others discover their greatest strengths. I believe that we are all so much better than our worst mistakes. We are all striving to be the best version of ourselves

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help you understand the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behavior. CBT relies on healthier modification of our thoughts to improve our anxiety or depression

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care is all about processing the trauma we have experienced, whether it was a few weeks or a few decades ago. It is never too late to unpack our grieving and trauma to better understand ourselves!

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is another treatment method I use to help you accept your strengths/limitations to then commit to change!
